PriCeo ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PriCeo mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information (email address, display name) if you create an account
- Shopping lists and price alerts you create
- Community deals you post
- Support requests and feedback
Information collected automatically:
- Device information (device type, operating system version)
- App usage data (features used, session duration)
- Approximate location (city-level, only if you grant permission, used to show nearby store prices)
- Camera access (only when you actively scan a barcode, no images are stored)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide price comparison and barcode scanning features
- To send price drop alerts you have opted into
- To display community deals relevant to your area
- To improve the App's performance and features
- To respond to your support requests
3. Data Storage and Security
Most of your data (shopping lists, scan history, preferences) is stored locally on your device. If you create an account, your account data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit and at rest.
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security audits.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Hosting and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights
- Community features: Deals you post publicly are visible to other users (your display name only, never your email)
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Local data (stored on your device) is deleted when you uninstall the App.

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites (retailer sites). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
